SARS-COV-2 / COVID-19 Policies
Please Note:
All policies related to SARS-COV-2 concerns will be reviewed and adjusted as required during the
season. This means that changes may occur that could affect your stay at our cottages. All changes will be
communicated to our guests that have booked in order to give them time to adjust their plans if required. We
thank you for your patience and understanding during these uncertain times.
Right to refuse service
Hunts Point Beach Cottages reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. If it is deemed ANY guest is not adhering
to the policies of Hunts Point Beach Cottages, or current Health Canada requirements and guidelines relating to SARS-COV-2, they will be asked to leave the property immediately.
Putting other guests or staff at risk will not be tolerated.
Booking Requests
Hunts Point Beach Cottages reserves the right to provide equivelent alternate accomodations in the event your originally booked cottage is not available.
New Cleaning / Safety Procedures
Due to the SARS-COV-2 virus and potential variants, Hunts Point Beach Cottages has researched the best way
possible to maintain maximum safety for our Guests and Staff. All cottages will be cleaned, disinfected and
sanitized as directed by the Nova Scotia Tourism Association, “Clean It Right” cleaning program prior to your
arrival. We have sourced equipment approved by Health Canada and the EPA to mitigate the risk associated with
the SARS-COV-2 virus and its variants. These products continue to maintain our non-allergenic, environmentally safe
cleaning protocol. It is anticipated these extra procedures will require more time to complete. We ask for your patience as
we ramp up these new procedures as there may be some check-in delays as we ensure your room(s) are fully
protected. Due to cleaning and sanitization requirements, we are not able to accommodate early check-ins, or late
check-outs.
Housekeeping during your stay with us
Due to SARS-COV-2 restrictions, we will not be offering any housekeeping services during your stay. We will still
provide you with linens and other supplies, however, housekeepers will not enter your cottage during your stay.
Linens (How we can help protect each other)
We will provide you with a clean, sanitized linen bag to put all your linens (sheets, towels, etc) in prior to your
departure
Checking In
We are working to establish a low or no contact check-in process. We will have instructions posted at the time.
Please look for the instructions upon your arrival and of course, feel free to call us from your cell phone if you have
any questions. Please do not venture onto the property until your check-in process has been completed. You will be directed to your cottage and informed of any changes that may be applicable.
When you arrive for your stay
In order to complete your check-in, you will be required to sign our limited liability release document
What will happen to your reservation if a previous guest is found to be Covid positive?
If management is notified that a previous guest has tested positive for covid 19, we will notify you of the situation and provide you with the options for your stay. We will clean, disinfect, and sanitize your cottage, however, it may be necessary to delay your arrival.
Visitors to your cottage
Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, we will NOT permit ANY visitors on the property or in any cottage. Only
registered guests will be permitted on the property.
Travelling with others
As with our visitor policy, if you have booked multiple cottages for you and your family or friends, we require that
guests only use their assigned cottage and do not enter other cottages. Gathering outdoors is the preferred approach.
Public Health Guidelines
Masks must be worn in all public areas while on the property. Social distancing rules must be adhered to at all
times. Please follow all Canada Health Guidelines when on our property
Cancellation Policy
Due to the uncertainty of issues with the pandemic, we recognize you may need to cancel your reservation with
relatively short notice. To confirm your booking, we require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to book and hold
a cottage for the dates you have prescribed. We will accept cancellations for your reservation up to 5 days
prior to your arrival if you feel you or a family member may have been exposed to SARS-COV-2, or, if you are
required to quarantine. If you need to cancel your reservation for any other reason, we require a minimum of 2
weeks notice prior to your check-in date. Hunts Point Beach Cottages reserves the right to cancel reservations.
Quarantine
As mentioned, we do not offer quarantine services. If upon entering our area, you are required to quarantine
for 14 days, you must successfully complete your quarantine requirements prior to the commencement of your
booking at our cottages. If we have discussed with you the option of coming to this property for your two-week
quarantine period as may be required, we will require a negative covid test result within 72 hours of your arrival. You will be required to show proof of your negative covid-19 test.
We will check with you daily to monitor the situation and adjust accordingly.

Do you, or anyone in your party feel unwell?
If any member of your party is not feeling well, we respectfully request that you do not come to the cottages for
your vacation. If we determine that there is someone who is not feeling well upon your arrival, we reserve the
right to refuse service at that moment. Please refer to our cancellation policy for further information.
